Community Runs

These runs help to build community around the film. As Art Martinez says "Runners carry medicine when they journey to other communities." So far, we have held 13 community runs, including 1 virtual run.

Running allows audiences to have a deeper understanding for why we run, think about the land, the story and history it holds. Runs are organized in collaboration with community members. Remaining Native works to seek our partners who know their community best.

Good Medicine 5k run /walk

Wings of America and 4Kinship, planned and hosted event that we were proud to be a part of. As they described, "Running is more than movement—it’s Good Medicine. It connects us to our ancestors, to the land, and to one another. It’s prayer in motion, a celebration of life, and a way to carry forward the stories, resilience, and joy of our people."

At this year's Indian Market, 4KINSHIP and Wings of America invitd runners and walkers "to bring that tradition forward. Running is more than exercise—it’s Good Medicine. It connects us to our ancestors, the land, and each other. It’s prayer in motion, a celebration of life, and a way to carry forward our stories, resilience, and joy
We run to connect to our ancestors.
We run to care for our bodies and our spirit.
We run to show the world we’re still here, still moving."
